There's something wrong with proto's pdf. The release notes for 1.44 are mostly missing. I'll see if I can debug that today.
Looks like it was my fault - for some reason that PDF didn't get fully rebuilt from an earlier build - I've just done a forced rebuild and all the release notes seem to be there now. John.
