Are you sure? At least in tar.gz format, both project-root.jam and the 'tools' directory are present.

I've just checked http://www.boost.org/release/boost_1_34_1_RC2.zip and I see project-root.jam and the tools/ dir, too.

Indeed. Sorry for the noise. :-( I must've unkowingly canceled the windows unzip operation or something. That teaches me for not verifying things and using gui tools. :) Cheers, /Marcus
