I admit I am tempted, if for no other reason then to test my own understanding of template specializations, possibly traits, etc. As for everyday, practical uses, initially they may be restricted to some areas of mathematical physics (some theories of gravity and possible numerical simulations) but, given that we already have quaternions and octonions, I see no harm in that.
