I've just committed changes to the Boost Exception cloning support to make it N2179-complient. The implementation of current_exception() is similar to http://www.pdimov.com/cpp/N2179/exception_ptr.cpp. I will update the Boost Exception documentation soon. Antony, I would also like to incorporate your MSVC-specific support into Boost Exception. Without such compiler-specific support, for current_exception() to fully work, the user must call enable_current_exception() (which is part of Boost Exception) at the time of the throw.
