BTW, what does the standard actually say about the const-ness of introduced temporaries?
"cv1", where "cv1 shall be 'const'".
Thanks, I see it now - the reference is to type cv1 T1 and is bound to cv2 T2, but any temporaries are type cv1 T2. I never quite made the connection before. -- Raoul Gough. export LESS='-X'
