There is a new team that will try to handle the threading library. We are currently busy trying to do a rewrite of the library on a separate branch. It is unclear at the moment whether we will get ready for 1.34. I am willing to try to coordinate the bugs list for threading, if there are no objections. So you can put me in as a "proxy-maintainer" for threading related bugs.
