I'd go one step further: Ideally, every inter-liberary include would go through #include <boost/<libname>/<optional-sub-dir>/header.hpp>. Headers that currently follow the boost/header.hpp pattern should just forward to one of those (and except - for the convenience include all headers - maybe even be deprecated and removed). This would make dependency resolution (whatever you define as dependency) much simpler. Best Mike
