Maybe we could work on making boostbook generate more consistent output. I'm not sure how much of a difference that would make.
Alternatively, you could just not check in the documentation, and put the development and release version somewhere convenient.
It would be really great, if the ever changing global unique identifiers in boostbook generated output could be made to change less frequently, no matter which version control system is used. Because changing files that haven't really changed makes it more difficult to find out which changes have actually happened.
It shouldn't require huge changes. For the most part, the anchor names are based on the name of whatever they're for. There are just a few cases that aren't handled. In Christ, Steven Watanabe
