A *default* hash policy would also be nice? So the quickstart could be even quicker ;-)
Because of the range of possible uses, I'd rather not provide a default, especially since future papers will likely necessitate changing it. I've added some guidance below the table with your SHA/MD5 suggestions (which I agree with).
