4. the documentation root is libs/*/index.html and the documentation lives (as a general rule) in libs/*/doc/html
... and, I forgot, library documentation that requires building has a Jamfile in libs/*/doc. If there's no Jamfile, the documentation is presumed to be already checked into Git in HTML form.
