I've just had an email exchange will Bill Kempf, and he has given permission to change the Boost.Threads licensing to the Boost license.
He said that the reasons he has not been able to continue work on Boost.Threads are entirely personal, and that he does not expect to be able to help for the foreseeable future. He wishes Boost well.
Can you pass on the warm wishes of all those like me who are grateful for his large contribution to the thread library. Paul Baxter
