I want to implement BigInteger, BigDecimal libraries for boost. I work most of the time with C++, java and C#. Such libraries are also not present for C++.

I believe some of our new features in Boost.Multiprecision might have functionality similar to Java's BigInteger and BigDecimal, with different interfaces, of course. We have some interest in extending these libraries to ultra-high precision via implementation of advanced multiplication algorithms. But I did not actually post this project due to the extreme technical challenge of mentoring it. If we find a student who is already familiar with big number techniques, we may be able to work up some project details.

HugeInt is limited to 40 decimal place. There functionality is essential for scientific mathematical calculations specially for cryptography. I also want to add some crypto stuff to it. Is this can be a valid proposal for boost to work upon?

There has been a lot of interest in cryptographic hash algorithms. I do not know the current state of affairs. But there have been numerous posts on this in the past. Best regards, Chris. appropriate place where I can contribute efficiently. So how to get started with boost C++ libraries ? I have an Idea of  implementing a library in boost. So what I do then , concentrate on library or something else

If you are interested in any please tell us (here on the mailing list so that possible mentors can get in contact with you). If you want to make another proposal which is not on the Wiki again please tell us (again here on the mailing list so that we can see whether it's something suitable for Boost).
