It is not easy, from the documentation to know how the cooperation/scheduling between strata is done.

of curse the documentation needs some enhancment you can take a look at example and test dirs how the lib is used the scheduler is hidden

BTW, maybe you can adopt the Boost.Chrono for the time-based functions. Boost.Thread would deprecated the legacy time-based interface on next release.
