There are several dozen iostreams bugs with milestones of 1.41 or earlier, most of which have not been resolved yet. As the 1.41 branch closes in 32h time, I would be astonished if any were fixed, even those for which (unlike #3517) we have a patch. They have been left too late. I shall try to make a patch for this bug sometime in the next week. After the dozen I did last night, this is quite high up my list of priorities. Richard
