I worked over the documentation based on Steven's suggestions and incorporated some editing of my own---primarily in the first portions of the text. There can be further improvements. For example, I suggest to adding a table, which is in TBD-form in the text. John, with your permission, may I commit the changes to the documentation? When building the documentation, I only get the XML target. I am such a beginner, it hurts!
