I have only remote familiarity with languages such as C# or Java from technical point of view, but the differences between those languages and C++ in how they were created and evolved are common knowledge, IMO.
OK, I hate to go off-tpoic here but WTF? How can you claim to be a C++ expert and not have intimate knowledge of C# and.or Java? I'm not a "boost expert", but I can write a language when I want to, and I certainly grok the differences between the CLR and Java JVM. ???
