But the only way to obtain a legal copy is to accept the license:

You don't "accept" anything when you buy a book. Stallman wrote the GPL long before Softman vs Adobe... if you want reciprocal share- alike "license" that works, use the CPL, the OSL, and other solid contractual stuff like that.
