Thanks, Marco. I was intending to use the library variant because I recall reading somewhere the header only variant missing some test tools. Judging from this link: (http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_50_0/libs/test/doc/html/utf/user-guide/ usage-variants/single-header-variant.html) I just read, I seem to be wrong. The code in question was in place since around 2005. I never thought of changing it until it's rejected by vc11. Thanks for the suggestion.
