C++ Template Metaprogramming Answers Page (was: EX 2.1)
Low-tech solution: "scroll down for next hint" "scroll down for solution"
If you're willing to give up on the goal of "one page per exercise," and would like to go instead with a finer-grained structure, we can accomplish any restructuring you wish through the Wiki's administrative interface; just let us know.
Show the first hint, with a link. Clicking the link shows everything the same, but the link is replaced with a second hint, and a third link appears. Repeat until out of hints -- in which case no link appears. For example: http://www.uhs-hints.com/uhsweb/hints/halflife2/8.php Dave
Hi, To my knowledge, the Wiki currently used is not hierarchical. This means long page names and also seems inappropriate for "artificial hierarchies" that are too deep. I question the value of hints for the exercises. I think it's more productive and thought-provoking to solve an exercise without any hints. I recall frustrating moments during some of the exercises, but that's what good exercises should do. I think an answers book is a good idea. In my mind, its purpose is to allow people who have already solved an exercise to compare their solutions to other people's. It's interesting for me to make that comparison. I encourage people to contribute their solutions. I hope to see that all exercises are solved - in many different ways. Ariel

It supports one level of hierachy. Top level pages can have subpages. So if you are editing a page you can create links like: [/subpage1] [/subpage2] When you do a page list the subpages are indented making it easy to find the subtopics: http://www.crystalclearsoftware.com/cgi-bin/boost_wiki/wiki.pl?action=index Jeff
