Pretty good news, IMO. In addition to the C++11 and C++14 plans, Herb announced that Microsoft would complete the holes in their C++98 standard support by finally fixing their preprocessor and implementing correct two-phase name lookup (39:18 in the video). Perhaps the last discussion about these things [1] helped to tip the scale. In any case, I'm glad to hear it. Does that mean they'll be considering bug reports about those issues? Because given all the nasty C++ bugs in MSVC that they seem to not care about, I doubt they'll get it right the first time.
