Is boost license GPL compatible?

That is, is it possible to distribute a library distributed under the boost license together with a software package distributed under the GPL. ----------------------------------- See the amazing new SF reel: Invasion of the man eating cucumbers from outer space. On congratulations for a fantastic parody, the producer replies : "What parody?" Tommy Nordgren tommy.nordgren@comhem.se

Hi there, only a lawyer will be able to give you specifics. BUT: The Boost software license is listed by the Free Software Foundation as GPL compatible here: http://www.fsf.org/licensing/licenses/index_html#GPLCompatibleLicenses Best Regards, Ruediger

I am not a lawyer, too. However, I think FSF's statements means that "If you want to write code in GPL licence, you can use code licenced under compatible licences.", and say nothing about the original quesution. -- Ryo IGARASHI, Ph.D. rigarash@gmail.com
