Boost 1.60.0 beta 1 Release Candidates available for testing
Release candidate files for 1.60.0 beta 1 are available at http://boost.cowic.de/rc/ As always, the release managers would appreciate it if you download the candidate of your choice and give building it a try. Please report both success and failure, and anything else that is noteworthy. This helps ensure the candidates build OK before we push them out to SourceForge. IMPORTANT NOTE: The files (and associated md5s) are: MD5 (boost_1_60_0_b1_rc1.7z) = ac6b2128d951ad688421fde2d878c2a7 MD5 (boost_1_60_0_b1_rc1.tar.bz2) = 2fc232f255f1ce8868315da207c05b6b MD5 (boost_1_60_0_b1_rc1.tar.gz) = d594e10f2761abaf957a67c6a223d2a4 MD5 (boost_1_60_0_b1_rc1.zip) = 16a2d512fca7995d5fa421d13f841b0f Thanks! -- The release managers

I have a fix for MSVC but some problems have also been reported for gcc4.4 c++0x mode. I can merge the fix for MSVC to develop and/or master once reopened. Raffi

Since it is preventing building of the release binaries, I think this should be merged before the beta is released. Tom

To summarize where I think we are: 0) There were some problems with Spirit, which caused Log not to build. Those have been fixed. 1) There's some problem with "math/special_functions/relative_difference.hpp", etc. John thought he had a fix, but then he recanted. :-) John, what's the status of this? 2) Marcel says that there are two unmerged changes in Boost.Graph
Boost.Graph is now doubly broken on MSVC 14. Two important commits are missing in master:
https://github.com/boostorg/graph/commit/1d5f43d9f6e8a5295bad7593db942cc755e...
https://github.com/boostorg/graph/commit/0fc1749bd7b300b0ad7a6ec45eefff5ea90...
Marcel - what are the status of these patches on develop? Are they independent of other changes on develop? (i.e, can they be cherry-picked)? (They look pretty benign to me) 3) Tom reported errors when building libraries for visual studio: test and type_erasure. Raffi says that he has fixes for these. Raffi - Have these fixes been committed to develop? and what do the tests look like? Have I missed anything? Thanks, everyone -- Marshall

Yes, they're independent of other commits. All unit tests are passing on the develop branch. Marcel -- View this message in context: http://boost.2283326.n4.nabble.com/Boost-1-60-0-beta-1-Release-Candidates-av... Sent from the Boost - Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

These fixes are in develop, and I am waiting for the MSVC runners to cycle.
Have I missed anything?
An issue has been reported on boost.test for gcc4.4 C++0x mode, that I was not able to address so far. Thanks, Raffi

John, what's the status of this?
I'm waiting for the MacOS tests to cycle, or perhaps someone can test Math lib develop and let me know? John.

Based on Michel's hint, I've been able to reproduce on Mingw and have just pushed a fix. Can you run that single test again?

Whew! Thanks, cherry picked to master. Also pushed a fix for the other develop issue (schoolboy fencepost error). Best, John.
