Have the dimensional analysis templates suggested in http://www.boost.org/libs/mpl/doc/tutorial/dimensional-analysis.html ever been developed into readily usable form? --Joel
Joel, A quantitative units library has been accepted into Boost. My guess is that it is slated to release with 1.35. The announcement can be seen here: http://lists.boost.org/boost-announce/2007/04/0126.php In addition, another library of similar purpose was proposed for inclusion into Boost. It was rejected at the time, and it now maintains its lifecycle on Sourceforge. If I recall correctly, this library is called "Quan", and the project page can be found here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/quan/ This is a topic I try to follow, as I am really looking forward to the inclusion of such a library into Boost. You can see the review schedule, along with the libraries that have been accepted or rejected at the following location: http://boost.org/more/formal_review_schedule.html Justin On Sunday 07 October 2007 12:18:11 Joel C. Thanks! Is there somewhere I can download the current version from? The libraries "under review" exist in the Vault, but the Physical Quantities Units directory is empty.

Me too; I'm working on Monte Carlo integration of mutual-inductance problems, and I added a distance to the running average of inductances. :( --Joel

The latest version is in the Boost Sandbox SVN repository - see http://svn.boost.org/trac/boost/wiki/BoostSandbox for more details. The review version is still in the vault under Units. --Michael Fawcett
