Hello, I've been using (parts of) the boost::hashes library for some time, and it seems to work quite well. Thanks Scott! A few changes are necessary to compile without errors and warnings Visual Studio 10 (see attached). I was wondering what the plans are for making it an official library? IMO it would be a very nice addition. As I recall, a suggestion was made to rename the library to boost::digest instead, to avoid confusion with boost::hash and the plural form. That seems sensible to me. -- Best regards, Martin Dyring-Andersen

I agree - these functions are a must-have for the Boost Toolbox. There is also a library of related algorithms focussed on checking the validity of human input in the sandbox as Checks prepared by Pierre Talbot as a GSoC 2011. Checking ISBN and credit card numbers are typical tasks. See http://boost-sandbox.sourceforge.net/libs/checks/doc/html/index.html for the detailed docs. There is some tidying up to do (perhaps a Xmas vac task for Pierre ;-) but IMO this library is nearly ready for review. Paul --- Paul A.
