Boost 1.27.0 on AIX 4.3.3
Hi, I've looked at all the documentation I can find on building boost on AIX for vacpp. However, I just can't get it to build! I'm using the prebuilt jam executable (not the one I built myself as it doesn't work - yacc stack overflow problems) and this is what I get :- bash-2.01$ jam -sBOOST_ROOT=. -sTOOLS="vacpp" build system is not defined. Attempted to use, as the bootstrap, this file: ./tools/build/boost-build.jam. This means that even though that file was loaded it either failed to directly load the build system files, or it failed to specify where to find and load the files by calling the 'build-system [path] ;' rule. Please see: http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/Mail/Message/boost/1193795 The version of the Jam sources in the CVS builds on AIX without errors. To rebuild Jam from Boost 1.27.0 on AIX, try make YACC= You will need to get a fresh copy of the boost/tools/build/jam_src directory, as yacc has overwritten some of the source files. -Dave

So, I'm looking at updating but in the mean time, don't get scared of when looking at the current Aix status.
Toon, I haven't had the chance to grab the lastest CVS version as I've been off
for a few days but I will try this morning. I checked the binaries to see if
you'd put the new one up yet but it wasn't there.
