I got it on the second go 'round from the main sourceforge mirror. The first time just never downloaded at all, then it worked the second time. Weird.

Hi, It might be worthwhile providing MD5 numbers for some downloadable files? You can generate MD5s on Linux on the command line with the md5sum command or under windows with the "HashTab" application (http://beeblebrox.org/). I'll add it to the release procedure. FWIW, here are the MD5 sums for 1.45.0: 3aa6b9e13268965680c0adf41734f718 *boost_1_45_0.7z d405c606354789d0426bc07bea617e58 *boost_1_45_0.tar.bz2 739792c98fafb95e7a6b5da23a30062c *boost_1_45_0.tar.gz 4379c7b92bf1ec74cd26908f60920cd1 *boost_1_45_0.zip Thanks for the suggestion, --Beman

I finally found the reason: google chrome 32bit on winxp64 downloads the archive wrong for some reason. v6.0.472 It could be: 1. some user setting is wrong. 2. that version has a bug 3. 32bit chrome on win64 has problems 4. all chrome versions have a problem with boost or sourceforge:-) I've tried with IE32bit and it worked Sorry about the hassle, I'll pursue with google,

Just asked Beman to look into this. He downloaded the .7z file from sourceforge. For him, 7zip had no trouble unpacking it. Thoughts? -- Eric Niebler BoostPro Computing http://www.boostpro.com

7zip and winrar both say there are over 30000 files broken. I can browse the files however. Note I have a win64 xp box. Yesterday, I managed to unzip it with winrar successfully on a win32 box. Could that be the reason?
