BoostCon 2007 Program Committee progress report
We've got interesting proposals from experienced presenters, have accepted a bunch, and have started to put together a tentative schedule for the week. We should finish accepting proposals in the next week or so and be able to go public with the schedule real soon after that. The people we have sessions proposals from are listed below. If you sent in a proposal and are not on the list, please contact me right away! Dave Abrahams Beman Dawes Jeff Garland Doug Gregor Mat Marcus Scott Meyers Eric Niebler Kevlin Henney Howard Hinnant Harmut Kaiser / Joel de Guzman Sean Parent Gennadiy Rozental Timothy Shead Jeremy Siek Matthias Troyer The conference dates (May 14-16) are firm, and other arrangements are moving forward. See http://www.boost.org/more/BoostCon07.html Thanks to Dave Abrahams and Boost-Consulting for providing the wiki we are using to coordinate conference planning. It is invaluable. --Beman Dawes, BoostCon 2007 Program Committee chair
Hi! just some small organizational questions about the attendance list. I will probably have to get a visa for US, until now this list is optional. On the page is stated, that there should be around 90 participants. I am the number 89 in the list and the list is . When are you going to be more concrete about the plans and will all people get a place or will you reduce the list? I would not like make all the stress with getting a visa (very time and money consuming thing) if you somehow rearrange the plans and say, that some of people on the wishlist will not be able to participate. Is there any fee for the conference attendance or just a hotel booking and some other fees for food etc.? With Kind Regards, Ovanes Markarian On Mon, January 15, 2007 15:24, Beman Dawes wrote:

The attendance may be limited to about 100, but we are strongly considering finding a way to expand capacity beyond that.

There will definitely be a conference fee. I think it should be settled in the next few days. -- Dave Abrahams Boost Consulting www.boost-consulting.com
