With boost::bind, there's no easy way to dereference _1. You'd need
template<class T> T& deref( T* p ) { return *p; }
std::for_each( cont.begin(), cont.end(),
  boost::bind( accept, boost::bind( deref<TheClass>, _1 ) )
);
