FWIW - The serialization library xml archive reads utf-8 encoded text. It uses a wide stream with a utf-8 codecvt facet to generate wchar_t characters from the original utf-8. This in turn is processed by spirit without problem. Robert Ramey "HT4N -" <ht4n@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:BAY128-W3206D66F9B0860B44474789C00@phx.gbl... Is it possible to customize the scanner in Spirit to parse UTF-8 characters? I can't seem to find any notes in the documentation specific to handling UTF-8 encoding.
