Yes, Xcode's log parser is useless for C++ build logs. I forgot how it's done but look for a very small icon on the window that shows you the build log. It is not a large visible button, it's tiny. Click that thing and you'll see the real text log from the compiler. It's difficult to diagnose a problem without the complete log.
