In short, I wouldn't discount stlport as an ancient, no-longer-used piece of software; for those of us trying to port/improve older and more fragile code, stlport is a boon.
+1 The boost lists have a bit of a bias towards shiny new modern C++ development and code bases. We do also use boost and STLport together, I could dump out some command-line flags, but I can't help in terms of the native STLPort or boost build systems. - Nigel
