I'm a huge fan of examples. Most (all?) boost libraries have examples, but it would be nice to get many, many more. There are a ton of great things in boost. To me it would be inspiring for a person new to boost to look through them.
I second that; learning by example is a great way to get a kickstart on how to use a certain library, without having to dig through all the options to know what you actually want... if it wasn't for the examples, I would have a lot worse time learning boost!
I know everytime I did something new with boost, I caught myself saying, "C++ is so freaking cool." Simple examples of not just how but why to use a library would be great.
Yeah, maybe this calls for a some sort of wiki-like approach - I'm pretty sure a lot of developers found out neat things to do with Boost libraries of which they are willing to share code snippets... perhaps this is an idea for Boost, to make some sort of code snipped collection ? Just my thoughts on this... Regards, Leon Mergen
