You may try to serialize the data to a std::vector.
See here for how to write a ostream with std::vector:

Hi,
I saw a mail from you to the group. I have a similar issue but I need to send the serialized data on the network.
After serializing to a stream, can I get the buffer?
How? TIA, Sri.
