My original question was whether or not Boost or some other generic library provides facilities for implementing associations. The answer I am hearing so far is 1) no, there are no such libraries, and 2) such a capability might be a good addition to Boost.
I haven't seen one and boost doesn't have one.
Being a newbie to Boost, I guess my next question is: So how does one go about exploring adding a new capability such as a general-purpose association library to Boost?
