If you can upgrade to Boost 1.36 or later, the following should work (note: untested): bind(&TItemOverride::ChildAssyItemRecNo, _1) == ChildItemRecNo && bind(&TItemOverride::LinkItemRecNo, _1) == LinkItemRecNo and you don't even need your OverrideMatches class.
