Also, it would be nice if the portions of the current release which work with gcc 4.x were identified as part of the "getting started" documentation. Also a pointer to the "LIBS= --with-foo_library" bjam option or the configure script "--with-libraries=foo_library" option would be helpful in working around the compile errors with gcc 4.x.
