      I would have written:

void save(const CFixture & fixt, const char* filename)
{
    ...
    oa << BOOST_SERIALIZATION_NVP(fixt);
    ...
}

void load(CFixture & fixt, const char* filename)
{
    ...
    ia >> BOOST_SERIALIZATION_NVP(fixt);
    ...
}
