Yes, exactly. Using ldd I can only really find out after the fact and
then only on a per executable basis.
If that's all that's possible, fair enough, I'm just wondering if
there's somewhere that documents this.

Couldn't ldd reveal this sort of situation?
I think he want such dependencies be documented.
