Is the socket library found at: http://www.crystalclearsoftware.com/cgi-bin/boost_wiki/wiki.pl?BoostSocket
in the boost repository? Cause on my gentoo, it doesn't seem to be installed.
To the best of my knowledge, that socket library is a work in progress and has not been officially accepted as part of boost. Therefore, it is not distributed in the official boost release. - Scott McMurray
