If I were smart, I'd just implement an overloadable lexical_convert as has been discussed a few times and be done with it. Not sure why I put sooo much stock in plain Boost support. And I agree with your comment in the linked-to email. The list of things I have to do to get Boost to work after each update grows longer and longer....
