Hi guys, I'm a new user of boost, and even newer of boost.asio. I create this code: http://codepad.org/DXLhsEtW (read.cpp) http://codepad.org/xlGDzgDC (read.h) http://codepad.org/DayP6oOB (http.h) and when I compile with: c++ read.cpp -o read /usr/local/lib/libboost_regex-gcc42-mt-1_36.so -I /usr/local/include/boost-1_36/ /usr/local/lib/libboost_system-gcc42-mt.so -O3 it compiles without any problems, but when I run it, it returns this: http://codepad.org/ad96WiPp I'm not getting why, someone have some idea? [serialization] Assertion failed on application exit

Hello, I'm using boost 1.36 for serialization and everithing goes fine except this strange assertion error when I exit my application (console or window) : assertion failed: NULL != r, file libs\serialization\src\extended_type_info.cpp, line 49 The error occured in debug and release mode and boost is used in a static library called by the application. Have you got any idea of how to get rid of this? Thanks by advance. For 1 million invocations of boost::posix_time::ptime ptm (boost::posix_time::microsec_clock::local_time() ); // Get current time It takes about 1 sec. However, gettimeofday takes about 300 ms. gettimeofday takes about 300 ms. // struct timeval tv; // gettimeofday(&tv, NULL); Any pointers on why it takes so long? I want to ensure that timestamp call are not expensive. [string algorithms] finding last digit

Hello, I have the following program: #include <string> #include <boost/algorithm/string/classification.hpp> #include <boost/algorithm/string/finder.hpp> int main() { std::string str("12.5e"); boost::last_finder(str,boost::is_digit()); // <--- is this sort of right? } What I'm trying to do is find the last occurence of a digit in my string (and learn a bit more about Boost.StringAlgorithms!). Am I going down the correct route here, and if so would someone be so kind to add to my program to show how I could obtain and output the index? The call operator for last_finder accepts two paramters which has thrown me as I thought the range was defined at construction. Thanks in advance, Pete
