Hello please anyone some one must have a example or something using the dynamic bitset? Has anyone got a few good examples of the dynamic bitset been used with member functions like append and block type? If so could you please send in some thanks. Michael

It is defined in boost/graph/properties.hpp, but the definition won't help much because I don't think that's quite what you're asking for. When you use get(vertex_name, g) you get back a property map. There's no single type that defines a property map, because it's a concept. To find out what you can do with a property map, check out: http://www.boost.org/libs/property_map/property_map.html Specifically, you want the links to the ReadablePropertyMap, WriteblePropertyMap, and LvaluePropertyMap concepts. Newbie: What is the actual return type?

In the Kevin Bacon example in the Boost::Graph documentation, we declare: typedef adjacency_list < vecS, vecS, undirectedS, property < vertex_name_t, std::string >, property < edge_name_t, std::string > > Graph; Graph g; and later declare and call: typedef property_map < Graph, vertex_name_t >::type actor_name_map_t; actor_name_map_t actor_name = get(vertex_name, g); What are we actually getting back here? I can see that we can index it (we do later), but is it just an array? Or a vector? Or what? I assume I am /supposed/ to know (not like Ada's "type foo is private"), so that I know what I can do with it! TIA, Tim Rowe

compiling boost with mingw in winxp

Hi, I downloaded boost 1.31.0 and I'm using bjam version 3.1.10. INI File Parser?

A while back, I noted that there was an INI file parser as part of boost. It was obscure, but I think it was in the program_options library. I note references to program_options searching the web site, but I'm not finding anything in the latest builds. I'm specifically interested in parsing INI files (I'm on a Macintosh) but the program_options library also seemed interesting. Is there anything available? What's the status of the program_options library? Thanks for any pointers, ...Duane

Newbie question -- graph library example

In the example examples/file_dependencies.cpp, I can't see what either of the typedefs for Color do: typedef property_map<Graph,vertex_color_t>::type Color; If I comment then out everything seems still to work. What are they there for? TIA, Regards, Tim
