Hi, I tried to make boost::array a conforming MPL sequence by including: #include <boost/fusion/adapted/array.hpp> // makes array a conforming fusion sequence #include <boost/fusion/mpl.hpp> // makes fusion sequences conforming MPL sequences but, typedef boost::array<int, 1> array; assert(boost::mpl::is_sequence<array>::type::value); // fails Am I misinterpreting the fusion documentation in expecting that this should work? Hi, I am encountering build errors with SUNWspro. Mainly "array.hpp" causes the errors. [BGL] Properties in a set-based adjacency list

Hello, How can I use an external property map with an adjacency list which uses a setS for the vertex list? I got property maps (with arrays as storage for the property values) working fine with a vecS adjacency list, but I can't seem to get them to work after changing the template to setS. I understand the reason is lack of automatic indexing, but don't know how to get around that. Using set/map for storage of property values would most convenient for me. On a similar note, perhaps it's possible to use a map to store the vertices, mapping ints to Vertex descriptors? (that was the original custom implementation of graph class which I'm porting to BGL). asio::transfer_at_least strange behavior

Hi Is transfer_at_least supposed to return success only if requested number of bytes transferred at once or at all? For example, I want to receive 800 bytes and put them into streambuf using transfer_at_least(800) as completion condition, but I receive 2 chunks of 400 bytes, therefore I never get a success, because transfer_at_least_t always wants more data. I know, there are may be some problems with handler copying, but the name of function is misleading, and may be should be documented. I'm using boost 1.37, may be something has changed in 1.38.

compiling Boost with STLport

Hi, I have a question about compiling Boost 1.38.0 with STLport. According to the document of Boost.Build, we can do following things: (1)modifying user-config.jam to point directories about STLport; (2)adding stdlib=stlport to bjam command; Using this method,We can compile Boost 1.38.0 with STLport supported. There is a 'p' in the libraries' name. But, I had a problem today. I recompiled Boost without STLport and checked there isn't a 'p' in libraries' name. When I compiled my program there is a error: can't link to stlport.5.2.lib At the end, I took off STLport's path from $INCLUDE_PATH (at the first) and compiled Boost again. Then I compiled my program successful. So, I think if we put STLport's path to the first of $INCLUDE_PATH when compiling Boost. It will links STLport too, but there is a 'p' in the libraries' name. Hi Looking through assembly code of simple test produced by gcc with optimization, I've noticed that free functions in utility/value_init.hpp (get and set) are not declared as inline, though its body consist only of prologue and epilogue. Is there any reason for this or just a bug?

And realized that there were nothing told about initialization and finalization of the environment of the test suite. I mean some kind of solid calling my finalization function to properly stop the environment, like a try {} final {} in Java -- even if the test fails by BOOST_REQUIRE or BOOST_FAIL. [asio] Poll without read

Hi everyone, I am trying to get video stream from Video4Linux2 device (/dev/video*) and faced with a interesting boost::asio usecase. V4L2 device implements poll calls, so one can poll() on specific device file to wait for next portion of data, but read itself is made via ioctl. I suppose, boost::asio is a natural choice in this situation and I am wondering if there is a method to run my callback when "the data is ready to read", but without calling read()? (on the same manner as ACE::Reactor does)? Thank you.

[serialization] problem using BOOST_CLASS_EXPORT macro in a static library

I have some problems with BOOST_CLASS_EXPORT macro, it seems that this macro have no effect if i put it in a separate .cpp file of a static library. I also wrote export.cpp using #include "geom2d.hpp" #include <boost/archive/text_oarchive.hpp> #include <boost/archive/text_iarchive.hpp> #include "serialize.hpp" #include <boost/serialization/export.hpp> #include <iostream> BOOST_CLASS_EXPORT(Curve); BOOST_CLASS_EXPORT(Line); I put the export.cpp file in a library named geom2d, but when trying to serialize my structures using something (attached main.cpp). CurvePtr c(new Line(10)); const Element e(c); std::ofstream ofs("filename"); { boost::archive::text_oarchive oa(ofs); oa << e; } I received an exception "unregistered class". If i dont put export.cpp in a library but in the same compilation unit as main.cpp, the error disappear (visual studio 8.0 and 9.0). From about 15 days I'm trying to make the Gomory-Hu algorithm: http://www.corelab.ntua.gr/~syrganis/sources/Gomory-Hu.pdf I'm using succesfully the Boost library to manage and build the graph but unfortunately the Gomory-Hu algorithm was not implemented :( Into the boost library there is only the mincut function and I have trying to use it (edmunds_karp_max_flow) for to make the Go-Hu function but the result was disastrous (the code is very long and I have lost the "control" of the program so at the and the program works only with some examples :(.....It's unusable) On the net there isn't any source code :( I have found only a pseudo-code here: http://www.prefield.com/algorithm/graph/gomory_hu.html But honestly I don't know how to convert it in c++ for to use with boost library. What is wrong building a debug build of boost?

Hi, Til now I have used the following 2 commands to build the boost library: bjam.exe --toolset=msvc --build-type=debug link=static threading=multi stage --stagedir=. bjam.exe --toolset=msvc --build-type=release link=static threading=multi stage --stagedir=. and it has worked with boost 1.37.
