I had a quick look at the regression test for boost using vc-7_1-stlport. It seems none of the tests has been passed. The question is, what is the point to add and release something if is does not work at all? Thanks for help, I would like to build (compile and link) some examples from the filesystem directory. Can anyone tell me how to do this? In which file I can find the compiler and linker flags used by bjam for vc-7_1-stlport build? Perhaps if I will not be able to link this will indicate some errors in the compiler flags I am using in my program. [Review][fixed_string] : First Example

Hi Reece, When I started of with the first example in the documentation I found that there some issues in compilation. All those issues are due to the two phase argument lookup problem that I have seen the second time today :-). Once I fixed it I was able to get a clean compile. Hi all, The review of the proposed Boost Fixed Strings library written by Reece Dunn starts today (January 19th, 2006) and ends January 28th, 2006. It provides integration with the C API allowing strcpy, et. al. to be used safely for a fixed string and provides a basic_string interface allowing easy migration to C++ strings. There is also a formatter function object allowing (w)sprintf to be used in a single line! STL port link error

Hi, I have compiled the boost library for VC7.1 with STL_PORT using the following command line arguments: bjam -"sTOOLS=vc-7_1-stlport" --prefix=C:\Boost\temp install Everything went fine after I have exported the STLPORT_PATH. I create a simple project, code is generated for dynamic runtime lib with the multithreaded option. The architecture is somewhat modeled after MPL which in turn is modeled after STL. It is code-named "fusion" because the library is the "fusion" of compile time metaprogramming with runtime programming. Description: The pimpl idiom is widely used to reduce compile times and disable code coupling. It does so by moving private parts of a class from the .hpp file to the .cpp file. However, it's implementation can be tricky, and with many pitfalls (especially regarding memory management). The pimpl_ptr library is a single header file, implementing a special policy based smart pointer to greately ease the implementation of the pimpl idiom. STL-PORT and VC 7.1

All, I have a project generated as multithreaded DLL in VC++ 7.1. I have to use STL-PORT together with boos. When I compile the boost libs there is no single dll library generated by bjam. None of the compiled libraries links properly with my solution. Can anyone help me with this issue.
