Access violation while deleting ssl socket

I just upgraded the boost libraries from 1.43 to 1.53 and switched from a 32bit build to a 64bit build. The code worked fine before the upgrade but in 1.53 I am getting an out of access violation while trying to delete the sslSocket. Here is a sample of the code: ssl::stream<ip::tcp::socket>* sslSocket = (ssl::stream<ip::tcp::socket>*) NULL; sslSocket = new ssl::stream<ip::tcp::socket>(io_service, ctx); sslSocket->lowest_layer().connect(*endpoint_iterator, error); sslSocket->handshake(ssl::stream_base::client); sslSocket->shutdown(); delete sslSocket; //This throws the exception I also tried doing this and several variations of it but I still have the same issue: sslSocket->lowest_layer().cancel(); sslSocket->lowest_layer().shutdown(boost::asio::ip::tcp::socket::shutdown_both,EC); sslSocket->lowest_layer().close(); delete sslSocket; I read through the documentation and the examples but didn't see anything that describes how to do this properly. Does anyone know why this wouldn't work or the proper way to close the SSL connection? I can provide more of the code if that would be helpful. What ever happened to Boost.AutoBuffer?

I recall some "detail" code in Boost that does exactly what I want: allocate a probably-good-enough size on the stack but switch to heap if needed. But I can't remember where I saw it. Looking around, I came across mentions of Boost.AutoBuffer by Thorsten Ottosen, but all links are dead.

[BGL] graphviz imcompatible with dijkstra_shortest_paths

Hello, I try to use graphviz. But when I add "#include <boost/graph/graphviz.hpp>" to the example "http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_53_0/libs/graph/example/dijkstra-example.cpp", I get a compilation error. I use boost 1.53 and vs2012 express with command line option "/link libboost_graph-vc110-s-1_53.lib libboost_regex-vc110-s-1_53.lib". The error is about the deducation of template parameter of EdgeIndex boost::detail::get(const boost::detail::csr_edge_index_map<Vertex,EdgeIndex> &,const boost::detail::csr_edge_descriptor<Vertex,EdgeIndex> &) in "boost/graph/dijkstra_shortest_paths.hpp(140)". [Intrusive] Obtaining end iterator from value reference

Hi all, is it possible with boost::intrusive::slist to obtain the end() iterator from a value object present in a list? Using s_iterator_to() I can obtain a valid iterator from a value reference but i can't forward iterate from it without knowing the end(). Reading the slist code I found the method slist_iterator::get_container but since is a detail implementation, I prefer not to use it. I also found that a default construct iterator is almost equivalent to end() for linear slists and should work just fine. For circular slists? // snipped struct dummy : public slist_base_hook<> {}; typedef slist<dummy> MyList; void fn(dummy const& o) { MyList::const_iterator it = MyList::s_iterator_to(o); MyList::const_iterator e = ???; for (; it != e; ++it) { ... } } Regards, Andrea
