[Range] and [MemberFunction]

In the documentation of Boost.MemberFunction it suggests that a useful purpose for it would be to implement overloads of std algorithms, and indeed other similar algorithms such that the final callable parameter could be a simple pointer to member. struct X { bool method( ); }; std::vector<X> xs; for_each( xs.begin( ), xs.end( ), & X::method ); or from Boost.Range boost::for_each( xs, &X::method ); Is such a facility implemented anywhere in Boost? Where I'm really going with this, is that I'd like to see versions of Boost.Range adaptors which support the same facility, so I can say, for example for_each( xs | filtered( & X::method ), doSomething ); rather than, as at present, for_each ( xs | filtered( bind( & X::method, _1 ) ), doSomething ); and similarly for transformed. Newbie Question - Errors if i want to compile

Hi everybody. I'm a new user of boost c++. I tried to install it on my Mac. I followed "Getting Started on Unix variant" guide which I found on boost.org site. The first part is ok, I tried to compile and execute the simple example and i had no problem, it runs. After it I tried to build and install the separately-compiled Boost libraries, I copied the example in my editor and I typed on terminal: c++ -I /Users/Simone/Documents/workspace/boost_1_49_0 main.cpp [heap] pending/mutable_queue.hpp vs heap/mutable_queue.hpp

Currently there are two mutable_queue implementations in Boost. One in pending (not really official) and another one in the newly released Heap library. Currently, some of our code currently using mutable_queue from pending. Has somebody already switched between both and found performance differences or can I expect them to perform nearly the same? I was retesting and release works but debug doesn't... I'm guessing this is due to the fact we have iterator optimisation for release and not for debug e.g. _HAS_ITERATOR_DEBUGGING=0 For some reason debug is linking or pulling in the release library of boost, now I know that I guess it's as good as solved. I think my -I directive is right because I tried to compile the first simple example (which doesn't need the separately-compiled Boost libraries) and it was all ok. I also tried your solution but the result was the same... Undefined symbols: "boost::re_detail::get_mem_block()", referenced from:..... etc etc

Thanks Jeremiah for the prompt answer. Sorry, I forgot to mention, your suggested change to graphml.hpp was the first thing I tried yesterday. Everything compiles with your suggested change, but the result is a runtime error (boost::any_cast exception). As far as I can tell the problem origins in line 292 in graphml.hpp. But so far I wasn't able to wrap my mind around that dynamic_property_map and I couldn't quite figure out yet what is going on and what is supposed to be going on. Serializing UUIDs into text archives

Serializing a UUID into a boost::archive::binary_[io]archive works fine. However, when changing to a text archive, I get a compiler error with gcc 4.7 in C++11 mode on Darwin. Recommended mock framework to use with Boost?

Hi -- I'm trying to learn to develop properly with C++ and Boost, and to that end am learning along with Boost.Test, as I'm a BDD coder in another language (Ruby) in my day job. I'm at the point, now, where my tests could really benefit from a mocking framework. There doesn't appear to be one in Boost (not documented, at least), so I wondered if anyone on the list could recommend a mocking framework that they use that works well with Boost.Test? Any and all advice gratefully received, Doug.
