With lots of help I think I am getting close to a "hello, world" BGL, MPI example to execute. Not sure about the error I am getting from execution from libs/mpi/example on symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) cluster of compute nodes, 1. compilation/translation of hello_world.cpp, works :-) $ mpiCC -I ../boost_1_48_0 \ -I ../boost_1_48_0/boost/mpi \ -I ../boost_1_48_0/stage/lib \ -lboost_mpi \ -lboost_thread \ -lboost_regex \ -lboost_graph -lboost_graph_parallel \ -lboost_serialization \ -lpthread \ hello_world.cpp -o hello_world 2. execution, error :-( $ mpirun -np 2 ./hello_word *** Process received signal *** Signal: Segmentation fault (11) *** Signal code: Address not mapped (1) *** Failing at address (nil) *** /lib64/libpthread.so.0 *** mpirun noticed process rank 0 with PID 16684 Maybe someone has seen this before and knows of a fix. Multi_array still incompatible with VS2010 Debug

Are there any plans to update multi_array to be compatible with VS2010? Kind of an issue when I try to compile my code using VS2010? Searching around it seems that this bug has been around for a while now. There is even a suggested fix in one of the bugs. Thanks Mike Jackson

Hello *, I am somehow stuck when trying to skip tokens to be generated. My configuration is boost 1.47 and visual c++ 2010. I also do not understand how some mechanics are intended to work. Example 1: Lets say I have a string: /// And I want my generator to generate: / from it or if the string is not '///' leave it as it is. So I wrote: using namespace std; string result; typedef std::back_insert_iterator<string> oiter_t; oiter_t out(result); string input = "///"; namespace k=karma; k::generate(out, &k::string("///") << "/" | k::string, input); And that works fine. Example 2: Now I would like to the slash to be a dynamic part, so I go ahead and define a rule: string root("/"); k::rule<oiter_t, std::string()> repeating_slash = +k::lit(root); k::generate(out, &repeating_slash << "/" | k::string, input); Here the generate never returns (infinite loop???).... Next test: Example 3: use in the rule instead of k::lit a k::string. This does not compile. Why? I was going through the docs over and over again but somehow I miss smth. Many thanks, Ovanes

Spirit: assertion fails under Windows but not Linux

Hello, The code below fails under Windows with the following message (sorry in French, I don't know how to force Visual C++ to work in English). This is under Windows. It works under Linux I use Boost 1.47 with cmake and Visual C++ 2008 uner Windows and Boost 1.46 and gcc 4.6.1 under Linux. Manipulating boost::multi_array

Right now, I'm using boost::multi_array for implementing a dynamic-sized matrix for an algorithm in which the number of rows and columns therein may wildly fluctuate (is boost::multi_array even the right class for this?). What's frustrating me is how I can do any and all of the following: 1. Remove a single row or column from a matrix 2. Insert a single row or column to a matrix 3. Augment two matrices together 4. Swap two rows or columns Is there any way to do the first three without calling resize() and moving the elements around manually? For the last, does something like std::swap(A[row1], A[row2]) work?

[lambda & range] bind for transformed - how to do it.

In this code (fabricated) sequence, ages_by_bind compiles, but ages_by_lambda does not. I believe this is because the lambda version does not publish result_type to its resultant functors, since the increased generality of lambda makes this difficult or impossible to do. Is there any way I can get round this, as it currently makes the lambda/transformed combination completely unusable AFAICS. BGL with MPI

I have libs/graph/example's working fine under RH in boost_1_48_0. But cannot get MPI working with BGL, e.g. libs/mpi/example/hello_world.cpp :-( When I translate using $g++ -I .../boost_1_48_0 -I .../boost_1_48_0/boost/mpi hello_world.cpp I get a bunch of errors, the first of which boost/mpi/config.hpp cannot find mpi.h. Not even sure where mpi.h is located and how it differs from mpi.hpp? Maybe if I solve this problem then all the other error messages, or most, will also go away.
