Hi folks, Sorry for the confusion i've caused. It was a problem in my projects include-path, not with the include-path of gcc itself. I included files from another library i use, and this library contains a file named "assert.h" - why it was named so that it clashes with the system-assert i don't know. I renamed this file and altered it's #define include-guards. Now everything works. Thanks for reading my previous posts, I'm sorry for causing confusion with a problem that isn't boost-related at all. Hello, from the reference at http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_39_0/libs/filesystem/doc/reference.html#Ope…: template <class Path> void remove(const Path& p, system::error_code & ec = singular ); Using the 1.39.0 release, on Windows MSVC9, I get the following error: 'boost::filesystem::remove' : no overloaded function takes 2 arguments Has the second argument been removed? Hi, are there any plans to support the lzma algorithm by boost.iostreams filter? I've seen some japanese error messages by googling on this, but I did not find it inside the trunk. Is it self written? or any work in progress to make it public here? Thanks, Olaf

VS 2003 Wierd Linking Problem

Dear all, I have installed boost according to the guide (http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_39_0/more/getting_started/windows.html) and have set the includes and libs directory accordingly (D:\Boost_1_38\lib for libraries and D:\Boost_1_38\ for includes). I try the basic code listed at point 4/ of the guide, but receive the following error: LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'D:\Boost_1_38\lib.obj' It seems, as if the VS put an empty name of an object file, attached it to the libraries directory and appended a .obj suffix. Could anybody help me out with this problem? Thank you, E.

[boost-users][asio] Connect with ssl to ipod?

Hello. I would like to know if it's possible (or there's any trick) to connect to ipod touch via boost.asio with ssl encryption. Currently I'm using an ssh connection with libssh. That's ok to navigate the directories, but I cannot copy files, since scp asks me for a password and I don't know how to solve this. Any idea? Thanks in advance.

Linker error on linux...

Hi, Thanks to Mr Watanabe, it compiled on Windows. Now I am trying to compile on Linux. I was hoping things would be easier because of package managers. The package manager installed headers into /usr/include/boost and libs into /usr/lib/ (found out from YAST) When I try to compile the same example<http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_39_0/doc/html/boost_asio/example/chat/chat_…>with (c++ -I /usr/include/ chat_server.cpp -o chat_server) I get errors. I guess I should also specify a library on the command line. But which library I should include? The error messages seems not very helpful. It doesn't print the line number of the error, but things like .text+0xb3: chat_server.cpp:(.text+0xb3): undefined reference to `boost::system::get_system_category()' I grepped in lib folder for a name with system, but none from boost. Hi, I am under Linux, ubunut 8.04 LTS and have no admin rights. Here boost 1.34 ist installed. [docs] Meaning of right/left arrows

A few libraries (eg. fusion) have sufficiently complicated (and thorough) documentation that they have sections, sub-sections, and maybe sub-sub-sections. In that case I instinctively expect that the arrow right at the top right of the page will take me to the next sections, or sub-sections (ie the next peer of the page I'm looking at), whereas in fact it always takes me to the next page. Does anyone else consider this is not quite right, and is it worth changing it? - Rob.
