Reading key-value pairs from a string

Dear boost-users, I am currently working on a C++ project that includes reading and parsing some files. Given a string with certain file contents S, I would like to attempt to compare it against a certain pattern. In particular, the contents have the form key : value. Certain keys are obligatory, while others may or may not exist (my program then supplies the default values). Can you recommend me a boost facility that can help me reading this type of data? My problem is that between key, : and value there could be blank spaces, tabs etc. The type of value could be a string, an int, or double. Thanks in advance!

[program_options] Obtaining parameter order

Hi everyone, I'm writing a program that needs to know the order that parameters are supplied in, but I can't find anything in the docs about this. For example, a program to work with .zip files might work like this: zip --rename=one.bin:alpha.bin --add=one.bin --rename=one.bin:beta.bin The initial --rename would need to be acted upon first, before --add (otherwise one.bin would get overwritten) and likewise the last --rename must be acted upon after --add, otherwise the wrong file (or no file) would be renamed. If I use normal string vectors the order of the parameters will be lost so this won't work. Is this sort of parsing possible with program_options, or will I need to resort to writing my own command-line parsing code? Thanks, Adam.

I suspect that I'm getting in the way of a built-in mechanism in Boost to suppress warnings with my own #pragma warning push/pop. So my question is how I can suppress this one little warning (well, because of the instantiation trail of the B.MI, it's a 65 lines "little" warning...) without disabling Boost's own warning suppression? Cant find boot/foreach.hpp files

Hello boost-users . I have build boost_1_38_0 with bjam on RedHat Entriprise 5.The bjam command is"bjam �toolset=gcc �build-type=complete install" When I compile cello99 trace DateSeries(A application based on boost), a error occur "boost/foreach.hpp: No such file or directory". I notice that in the directory "/usr/local/include/boost-1_38/boost" there exists the file "foreach.hpp". But in the directory"/usr/include/boost" do not have foreach.hpp file. I have tried other version boost_1_37 and boost_1_35.I dont know why? Could anyone help me? 2009-04-13 wuguangjun

Boost.Accumulators: how to use with object data members?

Hi, Is it possible to use Boost.Accumulators on data members of a class, with a UnaryFunction or Lamba function ? converting numbers to strings and padding the string if the number is within a specific range

Hi all: I am in the process of writing a module for an application which requires me to convert a number to a string, and pad the string with a leading zero (0) if the number is within the range one to nine or in one case, one to 100. What is the best way of doing this using the boost libraries? Any help appreciated as always. Release schedule for boost uuid?

I'm currently using boost 1.38 and I now need UUID functionality. I saw some fairly recent references to a boost::uuid library being accepted into the boost library. I was wondering when this would make it into an official release and also whether there is a stable beta of this functionality that I could access now? Fixed-point decimal library in boost?

Hi I scanned through the boost-users list and it seems that there was a proposed Fixed-point decimal libary in the past(around 2003) which was rejected. I was wondering if there is a related library that was accepted in boost, that allows us to do fixed point arithmetic in a portable, reliable way: My first attempt was to scan through the Boost.math libary but have not found my way through the documentation. My apologies if I missed it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Kimon
