serialization, 1.34/1.35 difference: serializing a vector

I just tried serializing a simple vector, std::vector<unsigned int> vectortest; If I serialize out in 1.34, I can't read it in in 1.35. xml result from 1.35: <vectortest> <count>3</count> <item>1</item> <item>2</item> <item>3</item> </vectortest> from 1.34: <vectortest> <count>3</count> <item_version>0</item_version> <item>1</item> <item>2</item> <item>3</item> </vectortest> Notice the item_version, this causes an exception when reading it in with 1.35.... I need a way to get the behavior from 1.34 back.... regex lib for Windows Mobile

I'm trying to get the regex library (Boost ver. 1.34.1) working under Visual Studio 7.0 and the Windows Mobile 6 SDK, and have run into the following problems: 1. Need to modify visualc.hpp to define BOOST_NO_STD_LOCALE and BOOST_NO_SWPRINTF. 2. WM6 runtime library doesn't have strxfrm() or wcsxfrm(). 3. regex lib makes direct calls to ansi versions of CreateFile(), LoadLibrary(), FindFirstFile(), and others (i.e. CreateFileA(), etc.) that don't exist on the WM platform. 4. w32_regex_traits.cpp has a pragma that links directly to a library that doesn't exist for WM. (user32.lib) #1 is normal and trivial, of course, but before I tackle #2 and #3 by either writing my own versions of the missing functions or modifying the regex source, and #4 by modifying the regex source (which I really hate to do, but I can't think of any other way around this one) I want to make sure I didn't miss anything. Is there some combination of #defines or project settings that should allow the library to build for VS 7 Windows Mobile? Am I about to do more work than I need to? Thanks. Freeman

Hi, is there a general description of the config file syntax that program_options uses available? Like if it's case-sensitive, if you can quote arguments, etc ... currently i'm wondering if I can fill a vector from one line, like val = foo bar baz with foo, bar, and baz as the values ... is this possible with some separator? boost::test timeouts and auto test suites

I have been searching documentation and mailing lists and not coming up with an answer on this. Within a BOOST_FIXTURE_TEST_CASE can i set a timeout for individual tests? I'm using 1.31.1 and I am aware that a test_unit has a property "p_timeout." I just don't know how to get to it. I'm using BOOST_AUTO_TEST_MAIN, BOOST_AUTO_TEST_SUITE, and a series of BOOST_FIXTURE_TEST_CASE objects. [Boost.Test] Where do you put the tests?

Hello. We're in the process of setting up a better Unit Test environment with Boost.Test and are currently trying to figure out what's the best way to organize the tests. (As far as possible we'll work with BOOST_AUTO_TEST_... Makros) (As for our application: It consists of a few executables and like 200 dll modules.) So far I have come up with the following: * One Unit Test Module for the shared codebase (the library-like stuff) * One Unit Test Module for each module. (eg. for the module foo.exe I'll have a Unit Test Module ut_foo.exe to run the tests) * One Unit Test File (with one or more BOOST_AUTO_TEST_SUITE sections) for each source file in the application. (eg. for the file logging.cpp there will be one unit test file ut_logging.cpp) If anyone could share his experiences with Boost.Test and real life testing and how you set it up that would really be helpful. thanks, br, Martin

To use the remove_edge() function I have to change my graph definition from typedef adjacency_list< vecS, vecS, ....> to adjacency_list< ListS, listS, ....> . now the add_edge (...) function gives me an error while compiling: 'boost::add_edge' : cannot convert parameter 1 from 'int' to 'void *' what does this mean ???? also using these typedefs: typedef graph_traits < TGraph >::vertex_descriptor Tvertex_descriptor; typedef graph_traits < TGraph >::edge_descriptor Tedge_descriptor; typedef graph_traits <TGraph>::vertex_iterator Tvertex_iter; typedef graph_traits <TGraph>::edge_iterator Tedge_iter; seems to be no good idea, because I get many compiler errors now? Help! Application using Regex not working (Boost building problem?)

Hi, I've a Dev-Cpp, mingw, Windows XP development environment. I'm trying to develop an application based on Regex but I'm not able to run even the simple example from "Getting Started" section of Boost documentation or the "Credit Card Numbers" example from Regex. I've built the library through different ways (trying just to build the regex library from John's homepage or building the whole Boost library through bjam). The building process was always OK and I'm pretty sure that I'm correctly linking the files in Dev-Cpp (I also used the path described at http://wagjo.com/index.php?id=27).
